6:07p	Oddities.... Today is an absolutely gorgeous day here in Bethesda, and it ain't gonna last. Tomorrow, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday all run the risk of afternoon/evening thunderstorms, so, I decided to skip the gym today and go for a bike ride instead. The Capital Crescent Trail (CCT) runs right by my house, so, I decided I'd take it.... It went well-there and back, I went about six and a half miles, which I figure ain't bad for my first real bike ride in four or five years. :P It was....tough. It was all downhill on the way towards Georgetown, but coming back was hard. Still, I had to get home, so, I made it! The strange thing, though, was that while I was riding along through the woods, I came across a guy walking his dog. That alone wasn't strange. There are lots of walkers, runners, and bikers who go on the CCT. The strange part, was the parrot on his shoulder! A brightly colored parrot with red, yellow, blue, and green feathers! And no, he was not dressed as a pirate, the parrot was not animatronic, and it was not nailed to his shoulder after having gone off and joined the bleedin' choir invisible. It was an actual parrot, not an ex-parrot. Next time I go bike riding, I'm bringing my camera, just in case. :P Current Mood: weird (Comment on this)
