Farmer's Market!
I went down to the Dupont Circle Farmer's Market this morning and walked around exploring the wares. There were about 20, 25 vendors there, with all kinds of fruits, vegetables, cheeses (cow, sheep, and goat), gelato, meats, flowers, etc.

I really wanted some sweet onions, but only one stand had them, and they were $3 an onion. Not a pound–an onion. I treated myself to a single onion-I'll figure out something to do with it. :P

I also treated myself to a variety pack of mushrooms for $10-it had a few white mushrooms, a few chanterelle, shiitake, trumpet, and hen of the woods mushrooms.

Lastly, I bought a log of Allegheny Chevre goat cheese from FireFly Farms. I tried a sample and it was so good, I just had to buy it. $8, but worth it!

When I got made, I made an amazing delicious frittata for breakfast. I took half the mushrooms and diced them into half-inch-sized pieces. I sauteed them in 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and then poured in 4 servings of egg whites. I let it set, seasoned it, tossed on some herbs de provence, and then topped it with half a serving of the goat cheese, and half a serving of fresh grated parmesan-reggiano. I stuck it under the broiler for a few minutes, and voila-tastyness on a plate!
